This is AWESOME!!!

I just heard some of the best food truck news ever...a 24/7 food truck lot in Winter Park. Check out the story at the Daily City. I think this could be really good for people who don't follow trucks on twitter and a place where people can depend on trucks to be. I hope some of my favorite trucks get in on this.

Treehouse Truck

Where to find the Treehouse Truck
Tuesday: Lake Lily Food Pod
Wednesday: JCC South Food Pod
Thursday: Eat More Produce Food Truck Pod
Sunday: Daily City Food Truck Bazaars
(for maps of these pods/bazaars go here)

My review:  am convinced that the best food in the world comes from food trucks! So I've been reading about the ChiMoo (chicken and skirt steak on the same sandwich) all over Yelp and it just didn't appeal to me, but chose Treehouse because I heard they had an amazing burger. On my quest to find the best burger in OTown I had to go with the burger. But I convinced my friend to go with ChiMoo. Then, while we were standing there the owner gave us a free PBJNutella sandwich making it AMAZING!!!

The burger was HUGE...I took off one pattie because I'm just not a double pattie girl. The burger was awesomely flavored. Not my favorite food truck burger but still REALLY good :)

I am so glad that I got to taste the ChiMoo. I was totally wrong about it not appealing to me. I think I might like it better than the burger. If you have to have one sandwich at Treehouse go with the ChiMoo. The flavors are amazing...one of my favorite food truck sandwiches.

And if you're feeling old school go with the PBJ. It's deep fried. I only had a few bites but it was amazing :) He said they usually make it with banana pudding (my favorite dessert) but that night they made it with nutella. It was beyond good :) I can't wait to try it with banana pudding.

I really don't think you can go wrong at Treehouse!

Cash only and of course there will be a small wait...your food is made to order...relax, enjoy the friendly service and be prepared for a party in your mouth :)

Update:  I am a HUGE fan of the Treehouse truck...they are always coming up with new and interesting creations that taste good. I've had the chimoo a few times now and never been disappointed. I also tried their Luther burger (pictured above). A bacon cheeseburger between 2 krispy kreme doughnuts...AMAZINGLY good but I think one try was enough. Like all of the other food trucks I've been to service is always really good and they are always hustling. I'm pretty sure they also take cards here now.

Korean BBQ Taco Box

Where to Find KBBQ Taco Box:
Sundays: 5-9 TheDailyCity.Com Food Truck Bazaar
Tuesdays: 6-9 Lake Lily
Wednesdays: 5-8 JCC South Food Truck Pod
Thursdays: Fresh Produce Winter Park
All days 12-9 Cheveron at Colonial and Ferncreek
My Review: (from March 2011) I've been wanting to try this place for a while. It's been blowing up yelp and I couldn't wait to try the food. My friends and I took advantage of the nice weather and grabbed some food here and headed to a park. I feel like we made a really good choice.

I got the beef taco box. It was awesome. I love how it included so much...ginger salad, dumplings, meatballs, a big taco and a spicy chicken wing. For $8 that's a lot of food! And all of it was good. I wasn't 100% crazy about the meatball but that's just personal preference (not a huge meatball fan) I can really see this as a place that I will go to a fair amount since it's close and cheap.

It is cash only but that doesn't seem to stop business. We only had to wait 10-15 minutes for our food but I can see how they could have a wait since there isn't a huge kitchen but they were hustling back there! Overall, I really liked it and can't wait to go back!

Update: They now take cards (Mastercard and Visa) for a 50 cent fee (woo-hoo!) There are also 4 trucks and rumor is they are expanding to more...now all of Otown can get their KBBQ fix :) They must have lowered their prices because the beef tacos (still my fave) are 5.99. They are still as fast and friendly as ever! Love this place!

Yum Yum Cupcake Truck

Here are some places you can find the Yum Yum Truck:
Sunday Nights-Daily City Food Truck Bazaar (rotates different locations weekly)
Tuesday Nights- Lake Lily Food Truck Pod
Wednesday Nights- JCC South Food Truck Pod
Thursday Nights- Eat More Produce Winter Park Food Truck Pod
Friday Lunch- Cheveron Station at McCulloch and Orion
UCF Area-Various Days during lunch time

My Review: So I know people might think I'm crazy but I'm not a cupcake person. I love my fro-yo. So for me to give the Yum Yum truck 5 stars is a big deal. What made me pick them for dessert is the fact that they had a cupcake called Hootnanny Apple...first just saying the word hootnanny is fun and apples are one of my favoritist things ever!!! The hootnanny has a cinnamon icing, which I liked even though I'm not huge into cinnamon. The cupcake was moist and tasted kinda healthy, which makes you feel better while eating it. The best surprise was the apple filling in the middle. THE BEST!!!! What pushed it to 5 stars for me was the atmosphere...you might say what atmosphere it's a food truck...not this truck...it is so happy and retro...i think unicorns are born in this truck...seriously...from the happy music that makes you want to do a silly dance to the retro chatskis inside the trucks...to the guys in gingham and those steak n shake type hats serving the cupcakes...best truck atmosphere ever :) If you're having a bad day find these guys and you'll have a smile on your face :) And maybe go home with a baby unicorn :)

Welcome to my world

I LOVE food trucks! I think some of the most amazing food can be found off of the trucks in Orlando. I love watching someone cook my food. I love how many choices Orlando has for food trucks. And I love the chase-yeah just like in dating there is a chase with food trucks. Getting to experience the same food but in different places is fun. I also love how food trucks bring people together. There's something about sitting on a blanket with friends sharing different food that really appeals to the hippie in me. It's connection with friends over GREAT food outside...AMAZING!!!!

I'm gonna tell you all about my food truck world...good places to eat and what I loved from them. Sometimes I will throw in a restaurant but food trucks are a love so most will be about them.
